Walking through the park, you can see the hills, which during the construction were created artificially. The creators of the public space made it truly family-friendly. There are many benches, swings, slides on the territory. Children who come here will find hobby classes.

There are also fountains that look very unusual. Each has its own symbolism. A large stone washed by water makes it possible to recall the events of the past and think about the future.

Almost in the very center of the park there is a chapel, which has become a symbol of the terrible tragedy that occurred on the territory of the "Winter Cherry". Many people come to the park not only to take a walk with their children and enjoy the beautiful landscape design, but also to pay tribute to those who were in that burning building that terrible day.

A bit of history

Recall that on March 25, 2018, tragedies occurred in the territory of the Winter Cherry shopping center, which claimed the lives of innocent children and adults. After information about the fire came to the control panel of the dispatcher of the Ministry of Emergencies, fire engines drove up to the shopping center.

The area of ignition was one and a half thousand square meters. As a result of the fire, 2 cinema halls collapsed, as well as the roof of the shopping center. The large number of victims is due to the fact that the administration of the shopping center did not work as it should.

Even a warning signal about the need for evacuation was not received. As a result, people who were in a place completely engulfed in fire had to jump from 4 floors to save their lives.

During the fire, 64 adults and 41 children died. The constructed park on the territory of the former shopping center has become a symbol and tribute to the fallen residents of Kemerovo.
