When natural luminaries become inaccessible, a person resorts to using artificial lamps, this number also includes a chandelier made by hand from improvised materials.
There are a great many lighting devices. They differ in purpose, design, materials used, decoration, lighting power and the type of light source itself.
People cannot live without light
There are many types of lamps that convert electrical energy into light. Currently the most modern and most efficient for a number of indicators, the solution is an LED lamp.
Several traditional zones can be distinguished in a person’s dwelling - a recreation area, a work area, etc. Each zone has its own requirements for lighting devices - in terms of lighting intensity, color of light flux, etc.
And another very important requirement - design of the lighting fixture itself. Depending on the purpose of the lamp and its location in the apartment, the requirements for its design also change.
Many people who love original things and know how to create them with their own hands, make for themselves home-made chandeliers and lamps from improvised materials.
Homemade lamp
The idea of its design is to create a portable device for additional lighting of any zone in the apartment - you can not buy a lamp, but make a home-made lamp. Basic requirements for its design
- The light source should be LED, as the most energy-efficient.
- Materials and components must be available and accessible.
- The design and manufacturing technology should be extremely simple.
As a light source, you can choose a standard LED strip with a length of 1500 mm, designed for a voltage of 12 V DC. And the ceiling of this homemade chandelier will be unusual. A transparent plastic cover from a round box from under a cake with a diameter of 270 mm was used as a plafond. The tape needs to be folded in half and strips of adhesive tape carefully attached to the inside of the lampshade. As a result, the light from the tape comes out - in a circle, and with a good stream - from the middle of the ceiling.
To ensure some rigidity of the product, a cross made of two strips of transparent plastic should be placed and fixed inside the lampshade. In combination, this cross is diffuser and reflector inside the ceiling.
On one of the rays of this cross, lay a power wire soldered to special contacts on the tape.
A strong thread is attached to the middle of the cross, passing through the center of the ceiling to the outside. This thread is used to hang the ceiling in the right place. The pendant can be ceiling mounted on any hook in the wall. There, in the center, wires come out from the ceiling through which power is supplied from any 12-volt DC source. In the manufacture of this lamp does not require any alteration of improvised components.
The plafond of this chandelier can be decorated and decorated. Decoration can be done colorful stickers or colored lace.
Strictly speaking, the resulting product is not a do-it-yourself chandelier made from improvised materials in the usual sense of the word, but a convenient, lightweight, economical lamp.
