Fans of country holidays often come across a desire to watch a sports match, an interesting movie or a favorite TV program. In villages, the coverage of the TV signal is very weak, so for those who prefer to spend the summer away from civilization, it will be useful to find out how to make the antenna for the TV with their own hands from improvised means.
Easiest option
The simplest television antenna with your own hands can be made of two tubes and a special TV cable. In addition, the contractor will need to know the operating ranges of the nearest TV tower.
Many modern television channels are broadcast in the frequency range of 50-230 MHz. For each of them, tubes of a special diameter are used. For example, to receive a television signal with a frequency of 50 MHz, the length of the tube should be 271-276 cm.
The following materials and tools can be used to make a TV antenna with your own hands:
- A pair of tubes made of aluminum, copper, steel or another alloy. However, they should have a diameter of 8 to 24 mm.
- Cable for indoor TV antenna. It should be rated for 75 ohms. Installing a more powerful cord is pointless. The cable length of a homemade antenna is adjustable when connected to a TV receiver and amplifier.
- Getinax material or textolite blank with a minimum thickness of 5 mm.
- A fastener for installing outdoor antenna pipes on a special holder. Instead of magazine mounts, improvised ones are allowed. For example, you can fix the structure with several turns of wire.
- Bracket in the shape of a corner or tube. When mounting the receiver to a small height, you can use a wooden stand.
- Soldering iron, silicone-based fluid to prevent oxidation of the antenna, electrical tape.
Assembly principle
To make an antenna at home, no drawings needed. First you need to divide the workpiece into 2 identical pipes, which must be crimped on each side. The tubes are fixed at a distance of 6-8 cm from each other. The ends of the products are fixed on the workpiece using clamps. The design assembled according to this scheme is mounted vertically using a rod. At this time, the height adjustment is performed.
To connect the cord you need to make a loop. The middle veins of the wire are cleaned and screwed to the base of the prepared tubes, and the braid zone is encircled by copper wire. Connect other parts of the loop according to the same scheme.
The entire cable and loop must be securely fixed to the rack. Its height is selected depending on the quality of the signal.
Beer can device
A TV antenna from beer and carbonated beverage cans is the easiest and most effective way to make a homemade TV signal receiver. In this case, beer cans replace the tubes. To make such a device, you need to prepare the following details:
- 2 cans of beer under the volume of 500 ml;
- plastic or wooden blank;
- TV cable (RG-58);
- solder flux, solder and soldering iron.
A hole with a diameter of 5-6 mm is made in the bottom of the aluminum can. Through it, a TV cable will be laid and output through the neck. The can is fixed on the workpiece horizontally. Through its neck, the cable is led out by 5 cm and cut. The extracted veins are soldered to a beer can. Then you need to solder the output cable to the bottom of the tank. The second jar needs to be slightly raised and connected to the first.
At the other end of the cord, a plug is mounted for connection to a TV. Experts say that such an antenna great for digital tv receivers.
