Neutral colors
This is a hallmark of classic interiors. They create a calm, peaceful atmosphere. You can use white, cream, brown and black.
Despite restraint, such a palette gives very wide possibilities for decoration. Combining these colors in various proportions and ratios, you can achieve completely different effects.
If you want to create a light airy interior, use white as the main color, adding black and brown accents to it.
With a black or dark brown kitchen unit, your interior will look more austere and elegant. To prevent it from being too gloomy, soften the dark colors with white walls and a light table.
The combination of brown and white is not so contrasting. Use this palette if you want a softer and more homely atmosphere.
Architectural Details
Classical interiors often use architectural elements. For example, a ceiling cornice around the perimeter of a room or caissons dividing the ceiling into squares.
The place of attachment of the chandelier, as a rule, is made out by a socket with stucco ornament. On the walls there is often a molding - a decorative detail, looks like a laid-on convex plank. A cooker hood is upholstered with panels that give it the look of a portal.
Architectural details are also present on the furniture. For example, tables with legs in the form of columns, cabinets with arches, cornices and porticoes. All this makes the interior more voluminous and diverse.
Polished countertops
Classic kitchens feature shiny white or black countertops. They use natural materials such as granite, marble or quartz.
White tile
The kitchen apron is trimmed with white tile, resembling a brick, (this is part of the wall between the work surface and the wall cabinets).
The standard tile sizes are 7.5 * 15 cm, but you can choose other sizes or proportions. Tiles are polished or glazed. It can be factory or handmade.
Classic Kitchen Cabinets
They are distinguished by doors with a frame profile or thin molding. Do not buy cabinets with completely flat doors; they are only suitable for modern interiors. At the same time, avoid the rich carvings and ornaments typical of rural styles.
Floors made from natural materials
Wooden floors are ideal for classic kitchens. It can be parquet or wooden flooring made of dark or light wood. Also, tiles from marble, granite or other natural materials will suit you.
