A modern children's room can be executed in a wide variety of styles - from classical or baroque to modern trends and modern. But which options are most effective?
Classic
Such a nursery will become a room for a real princess. The interior welcomes light-colored furniture, an abundance of fabrics, lace and ruffles, classic patterns on walls and textiles - from vertical stripes to floral ornaments.
Stucco molding is used to decorate the walls and ceiling, and canopies can almost always be seen above the beds.

Lighting devices - chandeliers, floor lamps and table lamps. They have a classic lampshade, often light colors, crystal pendants perfectly fit into the interior.
Curtains in the classic nursery interior, mostly heavy, multi-component, often with lambrequins at the top. They should close the window and muffle direct sunlight coming through it. From the sides, such curtains can be assembled into a beautiful drapery.
If you have a dark room with a small window and there is little light in it, you do not need to follow the canons and make the curtains in the nursery too dense. You can play with color and drapery and use only tulle fabric.
As in any other interior, we follow the principle of using warm colors for the northern poorly lit rooms and cold for the southern one, where a lot of sun falls.
For northern children, beige, ocher yellow, peach, quartz pink, cream, salmon are suitable. For southern children, use lavender gray, cobalt blue, ultramarine, turquoise, pale blue.
Compliance with this rule will allow the child to feel comfortable. But this is only a recommendation, from which should be based.

If you certainly want to make a pink nursery on the southern sunny side, or if you do not see a room other than the color of the sea wave, even though it is cold and poorly lit, you can realize your ideas in light of the above principle!

Provence
Despite the fact that the Provence style has entered our life relatively recently, it has gained immense popularity and love. Children's room for a girl in the style of Provence will look very organic and gentle.
Distinctive features of this interior: comfort, simplicity, romanticism. Mostly light colors are used, complemented by wallpaper and textile with floral patterns and a cage.
Furniture and wall decoration can be made of wood painted in the main light color, sometimes with intentionally created scuffs. At the same time, carved elements and gilding may be present in the decoration of furniture.

Modern style
Such an interior will be easiest to fit into the concept of the entire apartment. Distinctive features that immediately catch the eye in this interior are modern materials (plastic, glass, metal), simplicity and conciseness of forms and lines. It no longer has such floridity as in the classical style or Provence.
Furniture and borders, indicated by color or level difference on a wall, floor or ceiling, may have an unusual shape.
In a room children's sports complexes and exercise machines will be pertinent. Scandinavian motifs will fit well into such an interior.
Such an interior is characterized by an abundance of white, light, plant and animal ornaments, solidity in the main pieces of furniture and, at the same time, simplicity and clarity of the entire interior as a whole. This style can be seen in Ikea stores.

Search for a different style
In addition to those listed, there may be any other interior styles in the design of the nursery. But if the standard options do not suit you, you can try to approach the search for a solution on the other hand. You can start not by choosing a specific style, but by searching for a specific motive.
Often you can see interior items, furniture and wallpapers with fairy tales: with princesses, fairies, Disney heroes. Try to take as a basis your favorite children's fairy tale. The girl will be delighted to find references to her in her room.
For example, you can take a fairy tale about Cinderella. In such an interior, a pumpkin bed or a carriage, a screen and wall stickers with images of a fairytale castle and a princess will be appropriate. It is possible and necessary to use elements of the classical style to decorate the nursery with thoughts of a rich fairy-tale palace.
Tales about any other fairy tale princesses are also suitable: Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Little Mermaid, Rapunzel.
A teenage girl will surely appreciate the idea of the interior, which will be based on the book of Lewis Carroll's "The Adventures of Alice in Wonderland." It is not necessary to make direct references to the fairy tale; one can limit oneself only to hints, the idea and mood of the interior.
