Photographs and paintings are the best decoration of the interior. But often even a very beautiful decor loses due to the wrong weight. To prevent this from happening, think over every element of the future exhibition in advance, because this does not affect the general perception of the interior, and there can be no trifles.
Theme of photos
First, decide which photos will surround you at home. It is important that they are not just beautiful, but they are dear to you and create a certain mood. For example, it can be family photos that capture your loved ones or memorable moments of your life.
Or maybe you are more likely to take natural photos that inspire or set you up for relaxation. Pick photos on a specific subject, such as flowers.

When choosing beautiful photographs, think about whether you’ll get tired of looking at them. After all, it is unlikely that you want to change the exposure every week. Together with photographs, you can hang drawings, illustrations and generally any beautiful images and texts.
Background
The perception of photographs also depends on the background on which they are placed. A white or neutral wall (gray, beige) is a universal solution, any photographs and paintings look beneficial on it.
But on a bright colored background, the photos look more original and expressive. Contrasts are generally useful for interiors, as they enliven even the most boring design.

Framework
Decide in which frames it is better to take photos, select the appropriate color and thickness. The color of the frames can be contrasting with the background, then the photos will clearly stand out in the interior. And for a softer effect, choose frames of the same tonality as the wall.
Photo Format
Decide on the format of the photos. If you like balanced compositions, use photographs of the same format. These can be squares or identical rectangles arranged in even rows.
If you prefer dynamics and asymmetry, use different formats, for example, several large and many small photographs or horizontally oriented formats interspersed with vertical ones.

Multi-format photographs are more difficult to compose, but you will get a more lively and original design.
Accommodation
And finally, start posting photos. But before you hammer the nails into the wall, carefully consider the composition. Draw it first on paper or lay it on the floor.
The composition may be symmetric or asymmetric. The first option is quite simple, you need to place photos symmetrically with respect to any subject or imaginary axis. In this way, you can arrange the compositional center of the room (say, a fireplace or a bookcase) by posting identical photographs on either side of it.

In an asymmetric composition, everything is not so obvious, but even here the arrangement should not be chaotic. Choose the main and subordinate elements and try to balance them. For example, if you have one or more large photos, balance them with small ones.
Another option is rhythmic compositions. They use several types of formats that are arranged in a certain order. Designers often use rhythms in the decor, as they set the dynamics and diversify the interior.
